Field experiments has been conducted in several countries and the results points in the same direction: Ethnic and racial minorities are discriminated against in the hiring decision. We review results from previous research and suggest that future studies should investigate broader aspects of discrimination. We have limited knowledge about the extent of ethnic and racial discrimination occurs at the interview stage, during wage bargaining, and during promotions. Such knowledge is needed in order to prevent discrimination.
