Automation, labor markets and firm competitiveness

The rapid development of automation technologies, from software and robotics to artificial intelligence, offers companies groundbreaking tools to improve their competitiveness. These technologies can lead to efficiency gains and increased profitability across both the business sector and the entire Swedish economy. At the same time, various automation technologies are also changing the labor market by altering skill requirements, which in turn affects employment and wage development. The aim of this project is to investigate how automation impacts the labor market and the competitiveness of firms in Sweden.
