Ownership Structure and Corporate Governance in the Corporate Sector of Finland

This will be an explorative study of the development in the Finnish Corporate Sector during the last few decades. As in Sweden, the traditional form of governance in Finland has been controlled by block owners. Two major agents of change during this period have been globalization and an ever-increasing share of institutional ownership. Important questions in the project will be whether the traditional model is still viable and to what extent the tax structure and the regulatory framework have adapted to the new situation.
