Research Projects

The growth in the Swedish business sector was among the highest in the OECD between 1995 and 2010. The purpose of this project is to study the extent to which the rapid growth rate can be explained by investment in information and communications technology (ICT) and by investment in research and development (R&D).

Even though a majority of the world's countries have proportional election systems, most of the quantitative methods are developed for majoritarian election systems. The purpose of this project is to develop quantitative methods for better understanding proportional elections systems.

International cooperation

Visiting researchers

Collaborating with others is essential for IFN as a research institute. Our researchers co-author articles with colleagues from other institutes, and many also teach at various universities and colleges.

As part of our extensive program of guest researchers, leading international researchers visit the institute. The visitors present and pursue their research as well as interact and cooperate with researchers at IFN.
