Research Interests: International Economics, Development Economics, The Economies of East Asia

Introduction

The main focus of my research is on the economic impacts of globalization, including a broad range of aspects in international trade and investments. A common factor in much of this work is a focus on the role of multinational companies, and on home and host country effects of foreign direct investments. Special attention is also given to economic effects of the increased importance of East Asia in general, and of China in particular, as a host of multinational companies.
