Philippe Aghion, Collège de France, is the winner of the Global Award for Entrepreneurship Research 2016.

Global Award for Entrepreneurship Research was established in 1996 to increase knowledge of the general importance in society of entrepreneurship. The prize is unique in its kind, and the prize sum is 100,000 euros. The founders of the Global Award are Entreprenörskapsforum (Entrepreneurship Forum), together with IFN  (Institute of Industrial Research) and co-founder Vinnova. Stockholm Köpmansklubb is a donor.
