Research position - Economics of taxation

IFN is a private and independent research institute devoted to pursuing highly relevant research for Swedish trade and industry. We focus on five research programs: The Economics of Entrepreneurship, Firm Competitiveness, the Economics of the Service Sector, Sustainable Energy Transition, and Institutions, Markets and Enterprise.

Currently, 40 researchers with doctoral degrees in economics are working at IFN, of which 8 are Professors and 14 Associate Professors. In addition, 4 research assistants and 7 Ph.D. students are affiliated with the institute.

The Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN) is seeking a candidate for a research position with a duration of 2 or more years and possibility for tenure. We search for candidates working on the economics of taxation, either taxation of individuals or corporations, or both. We specifically search for candidates with a background in empirical analysis.

Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in economics or a related field. We are open for both junior and more senior scholars. Research potential will be the key selection criterion and the successful candidate is expected to carry out research suitable for publication in highly ranked economics journals. We offer a full-time research position including funding for international conference travel and a competitive salary.

IFN offers a competitive research environment, located in the center of Stockholm. Researchers have access to Swedish administrative register databases covering full-population panel data on individuals and corporations over several decades.
