Currently, 36 researchers with doctoral degrees in economics are working at IFN, of which 7 are Professors and 14 Associate Professors. In addition, 6 research assistants and 6 Ph.D. students are affiliated to the institute.

The Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN) seeks candidates for one tenure-track or post-doc academic research position in economics starting in Fall 2021. We are looking for entrepreneurial and dynamic candidates with a keen interest in issues of relevance to the business sector and policy, and a special focus on the firm or its workers as the central unit of analysis. We welcome applications from junior as well as senior researchers.  You need a Ph.D. degree by the time you start the position. The application deadline is November 10, 2020. We offer an excellent international research environment with high potential for individual development, a full-time research position with no required teaching, access to research assistance and extensive employer-employee data sets, and a generous travel budget.

Applications should be submitted via www.econjobmarket.org and should include a cover letter describing your interest in working at IFN, curriculum vitae, examples of scientific work such as your job market paper as well as a list of research topics/papers you would like to pursue if hired by IFN. If you have recently obtained your Ph.D. degree, we ask for at least two letters of recommendation. For more information, see www.ifn.se/eng or contact elisabeth.gustafsson@ifn.se.

This book explores the complex and ever-changing relationship between the European Union and its member states. The recent surge in tension in this relationship has been prompted by the actions of some member state governments as they question fundamental EU values and principles and refuse to implement common decisions seemingly on the basis of narrowly defined national interests.
