General Information

Papers and presentations
Papers should be submitted no later than 31 May, 2022. The papers will then be made available via a private link sent by e-mail to all participants. Each presentation may take at most 20 minutes, with a general discussion of 10 minutes to follow. There are no pre-designated discussants; everyone will be free to comment on each paper. Please bring your presentations on a USB stick or downloadable from your cloud service.

Traveling to and from Stockholm
The main airport is Stockholm-Arlanda (ARN), to which many airlines fly, not least Scandinavian Airlines. Book an economy-class ticket with arrival on Wednesday 15 June, such that you will make it to the opening dinner at 19:00. In order to make it, you should probably not land at the airport later than 16:30.

As for the return flight, the conference will end around 15:00 on Friday 17 June, which means that flights should probably not depart earlier than 17:30. If you choose to stay in Stockholm, you can book your return flight anytime on Saturday 18 June or Sunday 19 June (we pay for one or two hotel nights in Stockholm). To go to Arlanda airport from Stockholm, we recommend Arlanda Express, the high-speed airport train. Make sure to buy the ticket before boarding the train (online, in their app or in a ticket machine). Nota bene! There are serious problems at Arlanda Airport with long queues through the security check this summer! You must be there at least three hours before your flight leaves. If you have access to fast track, do use that option. The airport warns about it here.

As soon as your flight has been booked, please send us the itinerary so that we can confirm hotel reservations.

There are no Covid-related restrictions in Sweden anymore. This also applies to entry into the country.

Transportation to Vaxholm
From Stockholm-Arlanda (ARN) you have to take a taxi to Vaxholm and the conference venue Waxholms Hotell, address Hamngatan 2, Vaxholm, phone +46 8 541 301 50. The drive takes about 45–60 minutes and the taxi fare is about 600–700 SEK. You can pay with a card if you prefer. We strongly recommend that you use one of the three largest companies, Taxi Stockholm, Taxi Kurir or Taxi 020, because of problems with rogue taxi drivers. These reliable taxi companies are located in a designated taxi lane as you exit from the terminal building. If you fly to any other airport, let us know and we can advise you.

At the hotel(s)
Check in and check out: You have access to your room from 15:00 on Wednesday 15 June until 11:00 on the day of departure, Friday 17 June. You are welcome to leave your luggage in the reception if needed.

For those of you who stay in Stockholm until Saturday or Sunday, accommodation will be arranged at the Mornington Hotel.

Travel expenses and accommodation
IFN will reimburse travel expenses (economy class) against original receipts after the conference and pay for accommodation and meals during the conference. The accommodation concerns invited participants and their accompanying persons (see below). IFN will take care of the room reservations, in Vaxholm (from 15–17 June), and in Stockholm (for one or two nights), for those who wish to stay over the weekend. For the reimbursement of travel expenses, please send your original receipts and your bank details (name, address, SWIFT/BIC code and IBAN), after returning from the conference, to:

Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN)
Attn. Elisabeth Gustafsson
P.O. Box 55665
SE-102 15 Stockholm
Sweden

Please make sure that the reimbursement claim reaches us by 30 June at the very latest.

Partner
If you wish, your partner can come along (but not attend the lunches, the coffee breaks or the conference sessions; and, alas, we do not welcome children to any event of the conference). We pay for the hotel (including breakfast) and dinners at Vaxholm and for the hotel in Stockholm if you choose to remain after the conference until Saturday or Sunday. Travel expenses, lunch expenses in Vaxholm and all expenses in Stockholm, except for the hotel, must be covered by you. Please let us know if you will be accompanied by your partner as soon as possible.

Dietary restrictions
Please inform us about dietary restrictions or any other special requests.

Style of dress
The style of dress throughout the conference is casual.
