The EU and many countries have committed to be climate-neutral by 2050. Combined with the Paris Agreement, this means there is strong presure to transition to climate-neutral technoligies. This pressure also applies to the steel industry, which accounts for around 8% of global CO2 emissions. The mining, iron, and steel industry worldwide is thus facing a period of sharp demands for transition to reduce emissions while remaining profitable.
