We are currently in the middle of a globalization process of historical magnitude. The process is both driven by the quick growth of very well-functioning financial markets where firms can quickly change owners across country borders and by the emergence of financially strong and increasingly internationally open countries such as those in the former Soviet Union, China, and India. In this research program, we are studying a number of key issues related to this process. Our focus is currently on international integration, ownership changes, and the digitization of the business sector.
