The Effect of Centrally Bargained Wages on Firm Growth

Collectively bargained wage increases are an important determinant of labor costs in Sweden. Their impact likely depends on the level of local competition. In this project, I combine data on collective bargaining agreements with administrative data on Swedish firms and workers. I use this data to understand how bargained wages affect firms’ production, hiring, and investment decisions.
