Erik Lindqvist

Professor

Erik Lindqvist received his Ph.D. in Economics from Stockholm School of Economics in 2007. He was a research fellow at IFN between 2007 and 2010 and thereafter spent eight years as a faculty member at the Stockholm School of Economics. During the period 2011-2021 was Erik affiliated researcher to IFN and from September 2018 a full professor at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University.

Erik Lindqvist

At IFN Erik Lindqvist conducted research within two larger projects.

The first project aimed to answer questions about the causal impact of wealth shocks on various life outcomes, such as health, child development, labor supply, and financial choices. To this end, three data sets of Swedish lottery players are matched to rich data from administrative records. The total sample comprise about 400 000 lottery winners and a total prize sum of approximately 1 billion dollars.

The second project investigated questions the role of human capital and skills for labor market outcomes and financial decision making.
