In 2011 FISS introduced this Best Paper Prize. The prize is awarded to the best previously unpublished paper presented at the conference. The winner receives 500 euros and the paper is published in The European Journal of Social Security. Selection and publication are subject to a refereeing process.
Johanna Rickne got her doctorate in economics at Uppsala University in 2011 and has since that time worked at the Research Institute of Industrial Economics. Her Ph.D. thesis focused among other things on inequalities in labor compensation in the Chinese industrial sector.
