Research, research and even more research

26 May 2016

During the week, two researchers visited IFN to present their research at academic seminars and to discuss their results with IFN-researchers. Randi Hjalmarsson, Gothenburg University, spoke about "The Causal Effect of Military Conscription on Crime and the Labor Market". She did so at a research seminar on Wednesday. On a brown bagseminarium Maria Polyakova, Stanford University, presented her study "Private Provision of Social Insurance: Drug-Specific Price Elasticities and Cost-Sharing in Medicare Part D".

IFN primarily organizes academic seminars and other activities for researchers about research. The Institute also organizes every year a series of seminars open to the public. Topics for these are taken from IFN's research. Academically oriented IFN-seminars are held on Wednesdays. At these occasions researchers from IFN or other institutes and universities present their current research. On Mondays so-called brown bag seminars are organized. At these events research at an early stage is presented.
