Shon Ferguson presented his research at the National Board of Trade

Associate professor Shon Ferguson presented his study about so called born globals at the National Board of Trade today.

Born globals are successful export-intensive start-ups. There is a widespread view on Born globals as being important in job creation and economic growth, therefore policymakers in several countries have taken steps to promote these firms.

However, Shon Ferguson’s research shows that encouraging more born globals does not necessarily lead to large benefits for the overall economy.
