10 November 2021

How should the EU act to create more sustainable entrepreneurship? That is the main question in the book The Entrepreneurial Society: A Reform Strategy for the European Union, written by Niklas Elert and Magnus Henrekson, IFN, and Mark Sanders, Utrecht University. The authors are proposing reforms in six different areas to create more sustainable entrepreneurship in the EU.

The book is a sequel to Institutional Reform for Innovation and Entrepreneurship: An Agenda for Europe, written by Niklas Elert, Magus Henrekson, and Mikael Stenkula.  All three authors are entrepreneurship researchers at IFN, and a vast part of their research is on the importance of collaboration to reach entrepreneurial success as well as on what needs to be in place for innovations to emerge.

Both books are published by Springer and are available open access. The books are very popular and have been downloaded 58 000 times. Mikael Stenkula is also one of the authors of The Entrepreneurial Society: A Reform Strategy for Italy, Germany and the UK, which is a part of the same series.  The authors are applying reforms needed in all of the EU to Italy, Germany and the UK and the book has been downloaded 43 000 times.
