Research interests: Institutional economics, Political behavior

Some of the questions I try to answer in my research:

  • How does trust affect institutional and economic performance?
  • Why do formal institutions differ so much across the world?
  • Which policies are ideological and when does ideology matter?
  • How does foreign aid and domestic policies affect developing countries?
